Artist Statement
LeRoy is a contemporary artist whose work explores power, perception, and the dynamics between admiration and criticism. His practice embraces controversy as a necessary condition for cultural relevance.
“I love my lovers—and I love my haters,” LeRoy says. “Because if you don’t have critics, you probably don’t stand for anything at all.”
LeRoy views the shifting relationship between supporters and detractors as an extension of the artwork itself. His studio operates under what he calls The Nice Person Test, prioritizing respect and integrity over access or approval.
Rather than dilute his voice, LeRoy stands firmly in it. The response has been decisive: strong support, engaged criticism, and sustained attention.
His work is not intended for universal agreement—but for honest reaction.
