Studio Collaboration Projects: Dandelion Café & U Bar
We’re thrilled to share the exciting progress on two of our studio’s special production collaborations!
|

Dandelion Café Houston has teamed up with us to create custom pieces that reflect their culinary creativity. From the plates to the bowls, these handcrafted ceramics, designed by our own LeRoy Grubbs, will soon grace their tables, enhancing the dining experience with a unique artisan touch.
|

We’re also in production for U Bar, crafting custom plates featuring a signature stamp. Each piece is being carefully crafted to match their aesthetic while maintaining the warmth and handmade quality that makes ceramics so special.
|

Adventuring into Saggar Firing:
Sept 21st

|
Mark your calendars! We’ll be hosting a Saggar Firing on September 21st at 10 a.m. This fascinating firing technique uses organic materials to create unpredictable, earthy surface effects on your work. We use a container known as a Saggar to contain the combustible materials that create the wonderful surfaces. If you haven’t tried this before, now’s your chance to participate or observe this exciting process. Be sure to stop by the studio to see the magic happen!

Recent Crystalline Firing Results
|
|
|
|
Last month, we conducted another Crystalline Firing to Cone 10, with some awesome results. Additionally, we tested a new cone 10 glaze called Crowbolt that has a lovely aventurine effect creating interesting movement when thick and dazzles in direct lighting. As we move into fall, it’s the perfect time to dive into your creative passion or elevate your pottery skills. Our studio is cooling down, but your creativity can heat up!

About Our One Time Wheel Classes
|
|
First time introduction to pottery throwing with the pottery wheel and clay. Learn to use the pottery wheel, center clay and make a bowl, cup or plate. We will have about two hours to play with clay making a couple of piece of pottery like a cup and bowl. BYOB.
|

|
|
|
|
|
|
Have you caught the pottery bug after one of our one-time wheel sessions? Take your newfound passion to the next level with a month-long student membership. Build on your skills, and create handmade pieces and art that reflect your unique vision.

Kiln Construction Progress
Our kiln project is officially underway, and we couldn’t be more thrilled! A special shoutout to Rocco for being instrumental in getting this project off the ground. We’ve been capturing progress photos, and we’ll keep you updated as we move closer to completion. We can’t wait for the first firing!
