 Glaze Making Class – Tutorial.

Bring your favorite glaze recipe.   This is a journey.

We will create a base recipe from scratch then experiment with color.   There are a number of references online and books to reference.  Cost of material is approx. $30.

Using the right methods and processes for manufacturing high-quality technical ceramic glazes is just as essential as choosing the correct ceramic material to meet the needs of a given application. Discussions about advanced material processing through to forming, firing, and finishing, this requires a high level of control and expertise to obtain a deep knowledge and understanding of the entire production cycle.

We will cover glaze preparation, standard formula notation, mixing glaze components, and testing / firing glazes.
